Seminars
Crossroads Institute employs teams of highly trained youth and adults to pass on the basics of community-based arts to other artists, educators and activists. Three basic seminar formats can be adapted to fit the needs of many different types of communities and organizations.
The CRAFT of Community Development
A one to five-hour introductory seminar that uses “Beginners Guide to Community-Based Arts” as its main reference point. Can be held on its own or in conjunction with larger gatherings and conferences.
Travelling Arts & Social Change Hot House
A three-day intensive residency seminar that focuses on building stronger and more effective partnerships between artists, teachers and activists who work with youth in the same local area.
XX: Crossroads Institute Professional Development Exchange
An annual three-day gathering in New Orleans, LA, designed to foster the exchange of best practices among artists, teachers and activists from around the globe.
